Meet The Lonely Hearts!

Formed in 2006, by Jesse Cortez and Adam Shull, The Lonely Hearts have been performing their "Beatles Tribute" for over a year now. It all started with The Beatles' film "A Hard Day's Night." While watching the movie, Jesse and Adam immediately had the idea of starting their own tribute band. Jesse had already began teaching himself guitar and had learned a few Beatles' songs, while Adam began to take up the bass. Within a matter of weeks, they could play many songs and had asked Jesse's littlest brother, Mark Cortez to play the drums. Mark also began to further his drum skills by playing and practicing many of Ringo's drumming techniques. Not long after this, a school friend of Jesse's, Blake Kenney, heard of The Lonely Hearts and asked to come to a rehearsal. On March 18th (only one month after Blake had joined) The Lonely Hearts played their very first show at North Junior High Campus in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

So here they are ladies and gentlemen... The Lonely Hearts!

Jesse "John" Cortez

Jesse Cortez (19, Founder of The Lonely Hearts) has been influenced by The Beatles from the day he was born. His father would play The Beatles' albums around the house and the tunes would get stuck in his head. Little did he know that years later he would be playing "John" in his own tribute band! His favorite breakfast cereal is Frosted Flakes.

Adam "Paul" Shull

Adam Shull (21, Co-founder) has many musical influences, but none that can match the Beatles. An interesting fact is that Adam is actually "right-handed," but he learned to play Bass and Guitar "left-handed" specifically for the band. However, due to magical and mysterious circumstances... some believe that this Paul is now DEAD! Perhaps he is "on the run" or maybe just on holiday... Only his Mama knows!

Luke "Paul" Kenney

Some crazy fans tend to believe that Paul McCartney was actually replaced after his mysterious "death!" Frankly... we don't know what they're talking about. With that said... meet our bassist, Luke Kenney, brother of our lead guitarist Blake. He enjoys long walks on the beach and doesn't usually wear shoes.

Steve "George" Crowley

Steve Crowley (18) was a recent addition to The Lonely Hearts, bringing his guitar skills to the front of the stage as the band's "George Harrison," but due to college education plans in Iowa, he has retired his lead-guitarist position as of Summer, 2008. Good luck Steve!

Blake "George" Kenney

Blake Kenney (19) is the George Harrison of The Lonely Hearts. In the Fall of 2007, he left to live out his "higher education" plans at San Diego Golf Academy, located in California, but has now since returned to finish school back here in Wisconsin, as well as reunite with the band.

Tony "Stewart" Cortez

Though our poor "Stewart Sutcliffe" (Tony Cortez, Jesse's little brother) can not properly play the bass either, he was still part of the band at one time and, for this, must be given proper credit. Rumor has it that he is still around and can be found hanging out with the band on its various tours. Also, he is very fond of his silky hair and mad tambourine skills.

Mark "Ringo" Cortez

Mark Cortez (14, Jesse's littlest brother) likes to bang on the drums really loudly, despite his, usually, reserved tone. And though he is a quiet little guy, he is the "selling point" of The Lonely Hearts... Mostly because of his young age and his way of "wooing" the ladies*.

* A trait which he obviously gets from his older brother.
